If the brush roller of your Gtech vacuum cleaner is clogged, it can cause the machine to display a flashing red light. To solve the problem, you will need to clean the brush roller. Follow the steps below to clean the brush roller of your Gtech vacuum cleaner properly . . .
Step 1. Ensure that your vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet before you start the cleaning process. Cleaning any part of your Gtech vacuum cleaner when the machine is turned on or plugged into the power outlet can cause electrocution.
Step 2. Flip the vacuum cleaner over to gain access to the two brush rollers.
Step 3. On the sides of the brush head attachment, you will see little brush covers. Get a screwdriver and use it to take out the screws holding the brush covers in place. Keep the screws in a safe place.
Step 4. Take the brush covers out of the vacuum cleaner and then set them aside.
Step 5. Slide the two brush rollers out of the vacuum cleaner. Set the rest of your vacuum cleaner aside.
Step 6. Get a pair of scissors and then use it to cut off any hair or thread that may be stuck on the brush rollers. Take the hair or thread out of the brushes and then throw it away.
Step 7. Get a dry piece of cloth or tissue and use it to wipe off any dirt that may be stuck to the brush rollers. Wipe the internal part of the brush roller chamber as well.

Step 4. Get a flathead screwdriver and use it to twist the little lock holding the filters in place.
Step 5. Take the filters out of the filter chamber. Set the filter chamber aside.
Step 6. Tap the filters on the side of a trash can or sink to get rid of loose dust and debris.
Step 7. Wash the filters with water and no detergent and then leave them to dry. Make sure the filters are completely dry before reconnecting them to the vacuum cleaner. Using your Gtech vacuum cleaner with a wet filter can cause it to malfunction.
Step 8. When they are completely dry, reconnect the filters to the filter chamber and then twist the little lock to secure them properly.
Step 9. Reconnect the filter chamber to the main part of the filter case.

Step 11. Turn your Gtech vacuum cleaner back on and then check if the flashing red light is gone now.
