Follow the steps below to replace the brush roller belt of your Shark rotator powered lift away vacuum cleaner. . .

Step 1. Always make sure your vacuum cleaner is turned off and unplugged from the power outlet before you begin the replacement process.

Step 2. Disconnect the brush head attachment from the vacuum cleaner. Set the rest of your vacuum cleaner aside.

Step 3. Flip the brush head attachment over.

Step 4. Get a round object like a quarter and use it to unlock the little green locks at the bottom of the brush head attachment.

Step 5. Open the brush roller cover and then lean it backwards.

Step 6. Get a number 20 Torx head screwdriver and use it to take out the five screws at the bottom of the brush head attachment. Keep the screws in a safe place.

Step 7. Get a Phillips head screwdriver and then use it to remove the screw at the bottom of the brush roller. Keep the screw in a safe place and make sure you do not mix it up with the screws that you removed from the bottom of the brush head attachment.

Step 8. Get the number 20 Torx screwdriver again and then use it to take out the screw behind the vacuum belt. Keep the screw in a safe place.

Step 9. Get a flat head screwdriver and use it to carefully pry open the top part of the brush head attachment.

Step 10. Take the top part of the brush head attachment out of the vacuum cleaner and then set it aside.

Step 11. Take the headlight covers out of the vacuum cleaner with a flat head screwdriver and then set them aside.

Step 12. Get the flat head screwdriver and use it to remove the little gray panel on the side of the vacuum cleaner with the motor. Keep the little gray panel in a safe place.

Step 13. Get the number 20 Torx head screwdriver and use it to take out the two screws holding the brush roller cover in place. Keep the screws in a safe place.

Step 14.Get the Phillips head screwdriver and use it to take out the screw holding the vacuum cleaner motor in place. Keep the screw in a safe place.

Step 15. Get the flat head screwdriver again and use it to take the visible part of the vacuum belt out of the vacuum cleaner.

Step 16. To take out the gray panel on the other side of the vacuum cleaner, get the Phillips head screwdriver and use it to take out the screw holding it in place. Keep the screw and the little gray panel in a safe place.

Step 17. Open the brush roller cover then lean it backwards.

Step 18. Take the vacuum belt out of the vacuum cleaner. Set the vacuum belt aside.

Step 19. Get a new Shark vacuum cleaner brush roller belt of the same kind and put it in the place of the old one.

Step 20. Put the brush roller cover back on and then reconnect the second gray panel that you disconnected from the vacuum cleaner with the Phillips screw.

Step 21. Get the Phillips head screwdriver and use it to reconnect the screw that you removed from the motor.

Step 22. Get the number 20 Torx screwdriver and use it to reconnect the two screws that you removed from the brush roller cover earlier.

Step 23. Reconnect the first gray panel that you removed from the brush head attachment earlier.

Step 24. Reconnect the headlight covers to the vacuum cleaner.

Step 25. Put the top part of the brush head attachment back on and make sure to lock it in place properly.

Step 26. Use the Torx screwdriver to reconnect the screw that you removed from the side of the brush head attachment with the vacuum belt.

Step 27. Reconnect the Phillips screw that you disconnected from the bottom of the brush roller.

Step 28. Reconnect the five screws that you disconnected from the bottom of the brush head attachment using the number 20 Torx screwdriver.

Step 29. Lock the little green locks at the bottom of the brush head attachment that you unlocked earlier.

Step 30. Flip the brush head attachment over again then reconnect it to the vacuum cleaner.

Step 31. Turn your Shark rotator powered lift away vacuum cleaner back on and check if the brush roll indicator light is working like it is supposed to now.
